I’ve come a long way with my approach to coaching gentlemen in the art of healing the body and maintaining effortless health.
There are 5 principles I value above all else:
Systems Thinking: Your health is complex. A holistic approach is the only worthy pursuit rather than a reductionist one. You need to be comprehensive about this work because it’s the option that WORKS. If you just focus on fitness or sleep, there are inevitably going to be leaks in other areas of your lifestyle.
Work the Fundamentals: You must build a strong health foundation on timeless principles first before messing with things that don’t make much of a difference unless you’re in the 1% of well-being.
80/20 (Pareto Principle): 80% of the results come from 20% of the effort. This ratio gets even more skewed once you go down the rabbit hole. It’s best to invest time & energy into the most effective strategies that will produce relatively quick results (days/weeks). That’s how you build momentum and develop endless inspiration to keep doing the work.
Sustainability: The goal is to teach you how to think about your health and act accordingly, not give you a set of flimsy ass guidelines to follow for a few weeks. My aim is to teach you how to fish forever, not just to give you a single fish to eat.
Personalization: Any health plan worth its weight in gold is going to be catered to the individual.
The Step By Step Process
Here’s exactly what I walk you through once you join the coaching.
Step #1: In Depth Assessment
I need to know exactly what your current lifestyle looks like before we begin our work.
That’s where my in depth assessment comes in. All you have to do is set aside 10-15 minutes and answer multiple choice questions. It’s that easy.
Here’s some of what it covers:
The Stress Module
The Circadian Health
You Are What You Eat Module
You Are When You Eat Module
The Digestive Health Module
The Metabolic Typing Module
This is priceless information for me because it shows where you’re currently at and where I can especially be of service.
From there, I take notes on the in depth assessment and then we schedule and onboarding call to go deep and discuss the first action steps.
Step #2: Energy Rich Sleep
This is the most important first step because sleep is the foundation for health.
Great sleep is a force multiplier for all other aspects of health. On the other hand, sleep deprivation and issues compounds chronic disease and symptoms.
We progressively address your lifestyle from morning (the moment you wake up towards the night (the moment your head hits the pillow), all to maximize sleep quality + quantity to make the rest of the coaching easier and skyrocket results.
Step #3: Mineral Rich Hydration
We’ll cover the best strategies to remain hydrated, get access to the best quality water, how to avoid sub-optimal water, optimal mineralization, so forth.
I take hydration seriously since your body is mostly made of water.
We are sensitive to dehydration and even a 1% deficiency can lead to a host of problems such as brain fog, low energy, so on.
Most people make countless mistakes and are chronically dehydrated, yet with my framework, it’s the most straightforward part of the process.
Step #4: Wholesome Nutrition
I use two frameworks for my approach to your nutrition:
Biochemical individuality
Metabolic typing
These are extremely effective concepts which have worked flawlessly for myself and previous clients because they’re based on an incredible amount of research.
We first assess what the bulk of your meals are made of and start with the elimination process of “foods” that contribute to chronic inflammation, nagging symptoms, and general ill health.
The last thing we want to do is eliminate what you’ve been eating and leave a food, hence we build a personalized nutrition protocol from the ground up and cover important subjects like:
Nutrient density
Meal timing
Meal combinations
What to do after a meal
Synergistic effect of certain vitamins/minerals + how to build meals around them
How to choose the best quality food
How and where to shop for the best quality ingredients
What to avoid and practice caution with
Proper preparation methods to make the most of healthy ingredients
There’s no limit to what we’ll cover in regards to nutrition.
My aim is to give you the 20% which will produce most of your results (80%+).
Lastly, personalization is especially important with the food you routinely eat so that’s where we’ll dive deep on the metabolic typing framework in combination with biochemical individuality.
Step #5: Endorphin Rich Movement
Training and general movement is a key part of a healthy lifestyle.
We assess your current habits in context to low intensity movement, but we also take into account any training goals and work around those to make sure you achieve those outcomes.
This includes:
Rehabilitation strategies to maintain supple movement and heal from injuries
Movement strategies to further improve all other areas of health
Specific training strategies if you’re in need of them (hypertrophy, power, name it)
Recovery tactics
I have an extensive athletic background (competitive soccer) which informs my coaching and have been through a lot with the game such as physical therapy, speed training, agility training, gym experience, so forth.
Step #6: Effective Supplementation
People have the most confusion around this topic.
We assess your current supplement regimen if you have one and I immediately give you recommendations on what to toss since most people I work with have a large supplement stack with many unnecessary options.
I don’t throw a bunch of cookie cutter supplements your way either. We work based on personalization, current goals, reported symptoms and the 80/20 principle.
My aim here is to have you on as few supplements as possible.
Step #7: Reducing Toxin Overload
Detoxification and staying away from sources of toxicity is a hot topic these days for good reason. Our environment is extraordinarily polluted from heavy metals, fluoride, microplastics.. it’s a shit show.
I walk you through the 80/20 of detoxification strategies from cleaning up your living space to supplement recommendations (if needed).
We look at:
The bathroom
The shower
The bedroom
The kitchen
All to cleanse your environment and make your body more resilient to outside stressors. If your home is toxic.. it’s preventing you from burning body fat, building muscle, and just feeling great as a whole.
Blood Test Interpretation & Gene Analysis
I consider these two a bonus because you must either:
A) Have past testing results
B) Be willing to get new ones
But with these results, we’re able to take the personalization to an entirely new level.
It’s been priceless for my clients, especially the older ones (most of them) who are focused on avoiding conditions such as heart disease, cancer or any other form of chronic illness.
I have a lot of experience with interpreting blood tests and can offer tailored recommendations based on the most important biomarkers as well as an honest look into your risk profile for future chronic disease.
Here’s Why My Method Works
Accountability is taken care of because I walk you through the entire process. You don’t have to walk this path alone and I’ve had success working with people who needed guidance and honesty.
You get expert perspective and recommendations catered to you. Not many people know about health in depth, and certainly not to the degree I do considering how obsessed I am with this work.
The synergy of all the fundamentals creates a profound health transformation. Every single fundamental informs the other. Sleep impacts what foods you crave. Training impacts how well you sleep. Hydration directly affects your mood. It’s all connected.
Lastly, I literally give you all the tools you’ll need for a LIFETIME through this coaching program. Once you know exactly what to do with sleep, hydration, nutrition, movement, supplementation and beyond.. you’re set for life because you know how to think and act accordingly. Again, I’m teaching you to take care of your health and improve quality of life until your time is up.
Does It Really Work?
Yes, without a doubt.
Take
for example. I consider him the perfect client since he joined The 80/20 Health system. He was open minded, willing to ask questions, and ultimately executed in a professional manner. You can read about his experience with the coaching below.
There you have it.
My approach to health works because I live by it. This work has consumed me for the past 7 years ever since my father passed away from heart disease.
Much love,
