Everyone has that night. Maybe you stayed up working, your mind wouldn’t shut off, your kid was restless, or you just stared at the ceiling till 3 AM. The next morning hits like a brick wall. You feel inflamed, irritable, and detached from your body’s rhythm.

I had one of these nights a few days ago because I took too much CBD in the evening, which turned into a full blown high from the THC content included with the product. My tolerance is very low considering how rarely I consume either.

4:30 AM came around and I was still awake and couldn’t sleep.

This prompted me to write this article.

It’s not necessarily the sleepless night that wrecks you, but how you respond to it the next day. What you do after determines whether your circadian system recalibrates within 24 hours or falls into a multi-day spiral of cortisol dysregulation, poor glucose control, and emotional instability.
