People think I’m being hyperbolic when I tell them to strictly block artificial blue light after sunset and replace their toxic conventional light sources with circadian-friendly ones.
If you studied this realm as much as I have, you wouldn’t hesitate to make the necessary changes because the sheer amount of evidence available would weigh on you heavy.
I don’t care how it looks to other people because it’s effective.
As a coach in the health realm, I need to be results-driven.
Furthermore, the health of my family matters to me more than anything in this world.
I understand that human biology begins and ends with light environment because it’s built upon a circadian foundation that we cannot ignore because it’s initially inconvenient.
You’ll come up with plenty of excuses to avoid making these changes.
“But I can’t see.”
“But I hate red lights.”
“My house will look weird to others.”
“My family would never approve of this because it’s weird.”
It’s more of a social and cultural problem than it is an education one in my mind.
The good news is that there’s more than one way to cultivate a circadian-friendly environment once the sun sets. You don’t have to make your house look like the red light district.
But, if that’s where you’re at, continue to maintain the status quo and bathe under toxic artificial blue light. I will not sugarcoat this discussion for you. There will be health consequences as a result of ignoring this message.
You can continue to be lost as to why your children can’t sleep and are bouncing off the walls at 9 PM.
You can continue to wonder why your sleep quality has gone down the drain.
You can continue to ponder as to why you can’t wake up feeling refreshed for the life of you, regardless of what you try to do.
You can continue to worry about why your hair is falling out at record rate along with the unexplained weight gain, even though your nutrition isn’t all that bad.
I can explain all of the above from a mechanistic standpoint, but that’s not what moves the needle of behavior change for people. Everybody is different in their motivations. Everybody is on their own timeline.
All I can do is share as much of this information as I possibly can to shift your awareness around these subjects.
I’ll be here with the invoice prepared when you’re ready to take this game seriously, and it’ll be at a price that demands your attention throughout our work together.
For my European followers, here’s a link to BonCharge.
Enjoy the benefits of living the circadian-friendly lifestyle, especially after sunset.
Much love,
Zaid
So important, especially for youngsters to grow up with this as normal! Great work you are doing here sharing what is working for you.
I’ve appreciated your guidance and have taken it to heart. One of the best things I invested in is a sleep mask. I put it in and am out in less than 5 mins. Waking up once to adjust around 3am. Then back to sleep, until 6-6:30. Fully rested and ready to step outside to be introduced to sunlight first thing. It truly has changed my life for the best. Thanks again, Zaid.
